In the far reaches of the system, nestled amidst the swirling comet cloud Nimbus Extern, lies Pauperpolis. This extraordinary habitat emerged from humble beginnings, founded by outcast void clans who sought refuge and unity away from the watchful eyes of the Imperial authorities. Without official recognition, they established a clandestine community where they could thrive on their own terms.
As time passed, Pauperpolis grew and evolved into a bustling hub of trade and commerce within the comet cloud. The void miners of the surrounding region found solace in this sanctuary of unregulated exchange, making it the central marketplace for rare minerals, exotic goods, and secret technologies. The comet habitat’s location in Nimbus Extern ensured its strategic importance, and its economy thrived as it fostered connections with various distant star systems.
However, the habitat’s prosperity attracted a darker element. Mutants and smugglers began to infiltrate Pauperpolis, threatening the stability of this void clan community. In response, a hardened bounty hunter known as Solomon was hired to cleanse Pauperpolis from these undesirables. With ruthless efficiency, he purged the habitat of all who posed a threat, bringing back a sense of security to its inhabitants.
Solomon’s actions gained him the admiration of the locals, but it also caught the attention of the Imperial authorities. Judge Mordechai, a stern enforcer of Imperial law, arrived in Pauperpolis with a mandate to annex the habitat to the Imperial taxation system 817.M41. With the void clans’ rejoicing, the might of the Imperial judge was undeniable, and Pauperpolis finally fell under Imperial jurisdiction after years of opposition by Winterscale Dynasty.
However, the unity within the Void Union was not destined to last. As the Clan Bethel’s influence and prosperity grew, internal conflicts began to surface among the clans. Clan Bethel, once a staunch supporter of the Void Union, found themselves at odds with the faction, vying for control and dominance.
The tensions escalated, and ultimately, 819.M41 Clan Bethel decided to secede from the Void Union, seeking autonomy after founding the comet habitat of Celos. As the Void Union plunged into turmoil, those who remained loyal to its principles faced a crucial decision. The loyalists gathered in Pauperpolis, rather than choosing servitude for Clan Bethel, made a bold and daring choice to protect their freedom and way of life.
Drawing upon ancient technology found from the Graveyard, they installed the ancient star vessel drive within Pauperpolis. With this enigmatic technology, they transformed the comet habitat at 820.M41 into a ironclad system vessel, a self-sustaining ship capable of traveling vast distances across Ultima Tectum system.
Thus, Pauperpolis took on a new purpose and destiny, slumbering through the void with newfound freedom and obligations. As a system ship, it forged a regular route between Gravis Major, Avarita, Sphaera Imperator, Nothus, and Canor Sol, becoming a vital link between these planets and habitats.

–Ironclad: If a drive is installed to a void habitat it becomes a star vessel instead of a habitation.–Spreading: Space of ironclad comet is limited only by the power output of a habitat’s core.
–Experimental Structure Modifications: Both Nova Cannon and Archeotech drive have not been designed to be attached to comet formed from ice. If Full Speed Ahead is used then tech-use check. Each DoF gives one point of structural damage to the system vessel and 00 rips the engine of from the vessel. If Nova Cannon is used with BS skill check 00 it is detached from the vessel and ordanance goes to unexpected direction.
