Location: The fumarole plains on lowlands of Nothus, Near to PC-5728
The structure is a massive, rectangular brute made of reinforced ferrocrete, standing several stories tall. Its exterior is adorned with intricate carvings and statues of saintly figures, all of which have been imbued with powerful wards and blessings to ward off the unclean influence of the enemies of the Imperium.
The interior of the structure is a crammed network of hallways, chambers, and passages adorned with brass, all designed to channel and contain the unfathomable energies emanating from the great fumarole. The walls and floors are lined with lead and other materials that are resistant to the touch of taint, through every room are welded the great brass tubes that are steaming hot., and every entrance and exit is guarded by a team of heavily armed sanctified guards.
At the heart of the structure is a large chamber, dominated by a massive plug of polished adamantine. The plug is inscribed with holy symbols and runes by Astropath Martün Underberg, and it radiates a powerful aura of protection and purity that is able to block the taint beneath from seeping into the surrounding area.
The inner chamber is also to a group of priests and mystics of Phanacian sect of the Imperial Creed, who spend their days constantly chanting prayers and performing rituals to maintain the purity of the structure and keep the ruinous energies at bay. They are assisted in their task by a team of tech-seers and steam-engineers, who use robust pumping gear and analog technologies to measure and control the flow of steam through the welded brass tubes within the structure. Despite the formidable defenses of the structure, it is not impervious to attack. For that reason it is constantly monitored by a network of surveillance equipment and patrolled by squads of heavily armed guards, all of whom are doctrinated to repel any incursion by the forces of ruinous powers.
The holy concrete structure stands as a testament to the unyielding faith and determination of it’s builder who designated it to stand against the corrupting influence of unhuman.
