To your honor I shall present this mission report detailing the progress of Task Force Malleus Tempus. Our team has successfully infiltrated the designated system, operating under the guise of ecclesiarch cover identities. As a deliberate measure to ensure our security, we have so far chosen to forgo establishing a permanent headquarters, opting instead to maintain constant mobility. This strategic approach is intended to thwart potential adversaries, making it arduous for them to predict or respond to our actions.
II. Identification of Threats
From the inception of our mission, it has become patently evident that the pervasive influence of Ungues Aquilarum, orchestrated by Inquisitor Aurora Orlov, engulfs the entirety of the system. As a result, we have steadfastly adhered to the most stringent cautionary protocols, deviating from them only under exceptional circumstances.
III. Heretical Conspiracy Unveiled
Our ongoing investigations have brought to light an intricate and extensive heretical conspiracy, masterminded by Inquisitor Aurora Orlov. Regrettably, the precise nature and ultimate objectives of this Byzantine plot remain largely obscured. Furthermore, our mission’s originally allotted time frame has been significantly reduced, necessitating a departure from our cautionary protocols in order to uncover the genuine intentions of Inquisitor Orlov.
IV. Request for Additional Support
In view of these circumstances, I humbly request that, if at all feasible, additional support be extended to fortify our ongoing operation. Such support, both secular and spiritual, is imperative at this critical juncture.
V. Summary of Findings (Attachments i-ccc)
Main Points
– Aurora Orlov’s lineage has been engaged in a millennia-long battle against Eldar xenos (fact).
– Eldar xenos have some sort of psychic connection to the Gravis Major system (fact).
– During her first extermination for the Inquisition, Aurora Orlov discovered a heretical cult whose goal was to free a demon from the Immaterium by sacrificing so-called star children (fact).
– Orlov has since delved into star child-related prophecies and seeks to use them for her own purposes (fact).
– Following this, Orlov has carried out hundreds of exterminations, during at least one of which a portal opening to the Immaterium was observed (fact).
– We suspect that Orlov has used exterminations to conceal her heretical activities on the planets (conjecture).
– Orlov has elevated individuals to prominent positions from among her extermination targets, such as Judge Mordechai (fact).
– Orlov has subjected Judge Mordechai to hypno-doctrination (fact).
– Orlov has manipulated the life of Astropath Martün Underberg even before his birth (fact).
– Orlov identified Martün and his twin brother as potential star children (fact).
– Orlov orchestrated the birth of Martün and his twin brother (conjecture).
– Before his birth, Martün killed his twin in the womb to prevent him from falling into Orlov’s hands and created a psychic sanctuary in the Immaterium (fact).
– After his birth, Martün ritually killed his parents to prevent Orlov from using them to create new star children. He then used the released power to transfer part of his essence to the Immaterium to thwart Orlov (fact).
– With this power, a demon named Nytram the Red-Handed grew in his sanctuary, becoming Martün’s mirror image and nemesis (fact).
– Martün’s life mission has been to reclaim his powers from Nytram (fact).
– Without these powers, Martün would not pass Orlov’s star child test and would be useless to her (fact).
– At some point, Orlov discovered the location of Martün’s hidden powers and engineered his arrival in the Ultima Tectum system (conjecture).
– Orlov established Ungues Aquilarum, publicly tasked with maintaining Imperial order in the system (fact).
– The group’s ultimate purpose, however, is to execute Orlov’s star child-related plan without their knowledge (conjecture).
– At some point, Martün Underberg learned his true history (conjecture), and in 820.M41, he wrote a damning report about himself to Judge Mordechai (fact).
– Judge Mordechai, however, gave Underberg an opportunity to redeem himself (fact), possibly triggering some of Orlov’s hypno-doctrination (conjecture).
– Following this event, Underberg’s personality radically changed, and he was no longer seen in public but communicated through the Golden Fury Astropathic Choir (fact).
– At some point after this transformation, Martün Underberg infiltrated Team Anvil HQ and destroyed them using chaos warpfire. His power armor was also adorned with Chaos runes (fact).
– Judge Mordechai and Specialist Gödel were present to witness the destruction (conjecture).
– Ungues Aquilarum equipped itself to enter the Sun’s cauldron to investigate the xenos construct within the sunspot (fact).
– Judge Mordechai contacted the Pauperolis and demanded a meeting in the Gravis Minor’s orbit. (fact)
– Martün Underberg psychically reached out to the Sphaera Imperator’s astropathic choir from within the sun (fact).
VI. Additional Discoveries
Our investigation has unearthed supplementary insights, as outlined below:
– There has been a significant heretical activity in the system, centered around the worship of the demon Nytram the Red-Handed. (fact)
– In 817.M41, Judge Mordechai banned the local Usha herb’s burning, resulting in an exponential increase in psychically awakened individuals among the local population. Particularly susceptible are the mixed-breed descendants of indigenous and immigrant parents (fact).
– The system produces a significantly higher number of twins than normal (fact).
– The cathedrals of Avaritas and Plateau of the Sun are funded by the Inquisition (Avaritas) and Mordechai (Plateau of the Sun) (fact).
– Their architecture is based on the designs of the heretic Theodor Cadizky and is constructed to strengthen psychic powers (fact).
– The altar window of Plateau of the Sun’s cathedral aligns with a conjunction in the sunspot’s xenos construct during the summer solstice on Gravis Major (fact).
– Ungues Aquilarum calculated the summer solstice to occur on 11/21/823.M41 and suspected it to be a catalyst for heretical activity (fact).
– In Avaritas’ cathedral, there has been an alpha-level psyker (Jotak) maintaining a ritual since Ungues Aquilarum’s departure to the Cauldron (fact).
– The ritual includes a stained glass depiction of Martün Underberg and Nytram (fact).
– Martün Underberg has identified two star children in the system (Jotak and Maximus) (fact).
– According to prophecies, there is a trinity of star children: Jotak, Maximus, and Martün? (conjecture).
– Ungues Aquilarum is growing clones on Sphaera Imperator. Closed are maturing close to the summer solstice on Gravis Major (fact).
– The clones are Mordechai’s and Martün’s clones, with the intention of using the Engrammatic Imprinter to transfer consciousness to the clones (conjecture).
VII. Recruitment of Operative
In addition to our investigative findings, we have successfully enlisted one of Judge Mordechai’s operatives, a devout servant of the Emperor, MSG Gruberion Komuk, veteran specialist Guardsman of the Astra Militarum, previously appointed by Judge Mordechai to covertly take responsibility for security in the underground sections of Bastion of St. Drusus, under the guise of a “sanitation specialist” (attachment clxxii).
His skill set and determination have proven to be exceptionally valuable to our mission. MSG Komuk also has access to assets of significant worth to the Inquisition, including a well equipped HQ, military training camp and a 10000 strong, well-drilled army of the Crusade of the Red Redemption. (attachment clxxiii). I have strong faith in MSG Komuk’s loyalty to the Emperor and His holy Creed, and not to his former superior, should he be proven a heretic and an enemy of the Imperium. Hence we believe that MSG Komuk would be worthy of officially inducted as an acolyte of the The Holy Orders of the Emperor’s Inquisition, although I defer the decision to your esteemed judgement.
