Imperial edifices at Terra

!Fluff warning! Some of the buildings are based on logical extrapolations of Imperial society and have not been mentioned in WH 40K lore.

“Ah, Terra—the so-called “Throneworld,” where humanity’s dreams come to die amidst bureaucratic rot and overblown piety. Here lie the grand edifices of the Imperium, each more self-important than the last. The Imperial Palace sprawls like a bloated corpse over the Himalayan Mountains, housing the Golden Throne that keeps the Emperor in his eternal half-glory. Meanwhile, the Ecclesiarchy builds cathedrals so large they could house entire hive cities—because, apparently, the Emperor demands bigger shrines.

The Administratum stacks paper so high it blots out the sky, and the Inquisition? We have our shadowy little corners too, buried under the weight of secrets no one wants to know. Every spire, cathedral, and fortress here tells the same story: humanity drowning in its own magnificence. But make no mistake—these edifices keep the Imperium alive, just barely. They’re monuments to a system so unwieldy that it can only be described as a miracle it hasn’t collapsed outright. Yet, here we are. Welcome to Terra—try not to lose your soul in the process.”
