“Ignis Aeternus” Officers Quarters

Far above the choking heat of the lower manufactories and engine decks lies a rare and half-abandoned treasure of shipwright generosity: the Sanctum Vitae, the Ignis Aeternus’ upper-deck Imperial Crew Quarters—a remnant of an era when long void voyages were planned with a degree of human dignity.

These quarters are twice the size of standard void-crew quarters, and though now considered inefficient by Mechanicus architects and Administratum bureaucrats.

General Design & Layout

  • Multi-tiered dormitoriums cluster around central communal chambers, each shared by small company units.
  • Private alcoves, rare on most ships, allow for individual rest and prayer.
  • Vaulted ceilings and carved archways lend a sense of reverence, with banners and crests of honored crew companies adorning the halls.
  • Air circulation is purified, slightly cooler, and embedded with incense mist from ceiling-mounted diffusers.

Clean water flows from stone-faced purity fountain on each level, and meals are served hot—sometimes even seasoned—thanks to a retained provision dispenser and its overseer, Valet Primaro Galt.
