Warpcharts and Captain’s Log

The Ignis Aeternus maintains an extensive collection of pre-fathomed warp charts and astronavigational data specifically focused on the Drusus Marches sub-sector. Compiled over generations of service and supplemented by dynasty’s Charter Captains and Navis Nobilite liaisons, these charts detail the major and minor warp routes crisscrossing the region.

As long as the vessel remains within the bounds of the Drusus Marches, its Navigator may access mapped, vetted warp passages stored in the ship’s Star-chart collection. These include:

  • Pilgrim lanes imposed by the Ecclesiarchy
  • Military corridors frequented patrolled by the Battlefleet Calixis
  • Hidden trader-paths charted by Rogue Trader dynasty and not shared with others
  • Exclusion zones anomalies or taint

This advantage allows the Ignis Aeternus to reduce navigational difficulty, decrease warp exposure time, and increase routinely accurate arrival vectors when traveling within the sub-sector.

The Captains Log

“The Void: the last frontier. These are the voyages of the Imperial light-cruiser Ignis Aeternus. Its eternal mandate: to bring the Emperor’s light to forsaken worlds, to seek out lost colonies and forgotten relics, to purge the alien, the mutant, and the heretic. To boldly go where no servant of the Imperium has dared before.”
